First Dates UK Season 19

First Dates is back tonight on Channel 4 with a brand new episode and more singletons looking for love.

The brand new series sees the show filming in its Manchester restaurant.

In this romantic new setting, maître d’ Fred and some new helpers welcome an array of single people who hope to be served the love of their lives with the help of some new and returning staff.

Tonight sees a look back at some classic meet-ups featuring daters for whom finding love wasn’t their only full-time job.

Upmarket flower seller Calum hopes that now is the time for his love life to finally blossom. Armed with a bouquet, the 25-year-old immediately impresses his date, construction project manager Lucy. But things get a bit prickly and there’s an awkward moment over the bill.

At 65, dominatrix Sherry wants to ‘grow old disgracefully’. She’s used to men falling at her feet but is now looking for a man to stand by her side.

Chartered surveyor and tai chi enthusiast John is looking for a woman to bring balance to his life.

Gemma is 19 and works in elevators. She wants to meet a nice Essex boy to tell her she is beautiful. Her date is 24-year-old accounting assistant Jack, who equates a woman’s mind to a Rubik’s cube.

Bricklayer Molly is ‘one of the lads’. She works with men all day long but is yet to find herself a perfect match. Her date is warehouse worker Hussein, who’s confident with the ladies. But can he handle Molly’s ‘laddish’ banter?

And postal worker Jodie is hoping that her date with Laura will be first class.
