Celebrity Race Across the World is a new six-part series for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, where four celebrities and their family partners travel across 24 countries and over 10,000 km, without using any air travel or modern-day conveniences. The celebrities are Alex Beresford and his dad Noel, Mel Blatt and her mum Helene, Harry Judd and his mum Emma, and Billy Monger and his sister Bonny. The series follows their journey from Marrakech, Morocco, to Tromsø, Norway, as they race through various landscapes and cultures, while earning money by working odd jobs and relying on the kindness of strangers.
The series is hosted by Alex Beresford, who is a broadcaster and adventurer. The series is produced by Studio Lambert, the same company behind the BAFTA Award-winning format Race Across the World. The series is executive produced by Lucy Shepherd, Tim Harcourt, Jo Harcourt-Smith, Mark Saben, Lucy Curtis, Maria Kennedy, and Kezia Walker.
The series aims to give a unique insight into the celebrities and their relationships with their travelling companions. It also showcases the diversity and beauty of different countries and regions around the world.
