Big Brother, the iconic American reality television program, is back for its twenty-sixth season, and this time, it’s embracing an artificial intelligence theme. Hosted by the fabulous Julie Chen Moonves, the show continues to captivate viewers with its unique blend of drama, strategy, and unexpected twists.

Format Overview

For those new to the game, here’s how it works:

  • HouseGuests: Contestants, known as HouseGuests, live inside a custom-built house equipped with cameras and microphones recording their every move 24/7. They’re sequestered from the outside world, sharing their thoughts in the private Diary Room.
  • Weekly Competitions: Each week, HouseGuests compete in various challenges to win power and safety. The Head of Household (HoH) competition kicks off the week, granting immunity to the winner. The HoH then nominates two HouseGuests for eviction.
  • Power of Veto (PoV): Six HouseGuests compete in the Power of Veto competition, including the HoH, the nominees, and three randomly chosen players. The PoV winner can save a nominee or leave the nominations intact.
  • Eviction Night: All HouseGuests (except the HoH and nominees) vote to evict one of the nominees. The last nine evicted HouseGuests form the Jury, ultimately deciding the winner.
  • America’s Favorite HouseGuest: Viewers get to choose their favorite HouseGuest, adding an extra layer of excitement.

Premiere and Filming

  • Premiere Date: The season premiered on July 17, 2024, with a one-hour episode, followed by another one-hour episode on July 18.
  • Filming: The action began on July 16, 2024, and will run for a total of 90 days, concluding on October 13.
