New Extreme Setting

  • Location: Great Karoo, semi-arid desert region in South Africa—the first-ever hot, dry climate for the series

  • Key Challenges: Scarcity of water, high daytime heat, freezing nights, and encounters with dangerous wildlife—such as scorpions, venomous snakes, baboons, Cape buffalo, warthogs, and wildebeest

  • Strategic Focus: Contestants must prioritize hydration, heat management, and creative shelter over the cold-weather skills emphasized in previous seasons
