| 4 | During the next task, you will hear a countdown from 40. The vase will fall from the shelf. With 29 seconds left, ping pong balls will fall from the roof and Paul will throw a tennis ball to you with 25 seconds left. You will be asked to complete the maze on the blackboard and to spell the word “TASK” in semaphore. The premier of New Zealand in 1874 was Sir Julius Vogel and the second wire from the right will trigger the confetti. You may not touch anything in this room until your time starts during the next task. You must leave this room in eight minutes. | 5 | 1 | 3 | 1 | 3 |
| Stop the vase from breaking, avoid being hit by the ping pong balls, answer Paul’s trivia question, spell the word “TASK” in semaphore, catch the ball when Paul throws it, complete the maze on the blackboard and cut the wire that triggers the confetti. You may only cut one wire. | ||||||
| 5 | Live: Make the most unique noise. The Taskmaster will identify which two noises sound the most alike. The least passionate of these two noises will be eliminated. You must make your noise with your mouth. Your noise may not be a word. Each round will have a theme that must inspire your noise. Taskmaster NZ Show Description
Taskmaster NZ is a New Zealand comedy panel game show, first broadcast in 2020 on TVNZ 2. The format for the show was created by British comedian Alex Horne during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010, and was subsequently developed into a successful UK television show in 2015.
Following the format of the original British version, the show consists of five contestants who compete in a series of strange and unusual tasks to gain points from the Taskmaster, Jeremy Wells, and adjudicated by his assistant, comedian Paul Williams.
Taskmaster NZ is produced for TVNZ, with support from NZ On Air. A second series was announced in March 2021 and aired in the winter of 2021. A third was confirmed in April 2022, set to air from 6 July 2022.
