The Circle US Season 04 Episode 01 Description
A Spicy Start
The first seven players entered The Circle and created their profiles. The first four players to enter, Alyssa, Frank, John (who is catfishing as his mom Carol), and Yu Ling started the first circle chat and viewed each others profiles. The last three to enter, Crissa, Bru and Parker (who is catfishing as her dad Paul) enter and join the circle chat. Parker/Paul decided to tell the other players that her fathers career is being a marriage therapist, which is a lie. During the chat, the players began to feel suspicious that Parker/Paul is a catfish after she revealed that she did not know what a memoir is. The players began playing a game, allowing them to learn more about each other. Later in the day, the players were tasked with rating each other from first to sixth, much to their shock of it happening so early in the game. After doing so, the players began chatting with each other in private chats. Parker/Paul tries to convince Frank and Bru that she is not a catfish. The ratings were revealed to the players with Parker/Paul placing last, Yu Ling, Bru, Alyssa and Crissa placing in the middle and Frank and John/Carol placing in the top two spots, both are crowned the first influencers of the season. For being the top rated influencer, Frank was given the chance to choose a new player to join the game. His options were “Jared” and “Trey”, both of whom were revealed to be catfish profiles portrayed by Spice Girls members Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown.

The Circle US Show Descriprion
WHAT Is The Circle?
A reality show hosted by comedian Michelle Buteau that involves contestants being trapped in a large apartment building, where they are essentially in a popularity contest and can communicate only through social media. This means that the players can fully pretend to be other people and catfish each other.
WHAT Is the Prize?
The Circle is an absolutely deranged concept for a show, so perhaps you’re wondering why any human being would voluntarily subject themselves to this. Allow me to tell you: (1) the promise of fame, duh, and (2) a $100,000 cash prize—if they win. (Oh, and the Fan Favorite receives $10,000.)
HOW Do You Win?
Contestants on The Circle are forced to rate their fellow players, and then the top-voted people (aka the “influencers”) vote to “block” (aka eliminate) their fellow contestants until there’s just one person left with the highest rating—who gets to take home $100,000! Alliances form; friends, enemies, and frenemies are made—basically, you’re getting paid to live out a social media nightmare on national television, it’s casual.
If all this sounds intriguing to you, please be advised that Netflix has old episodes of The Circle season 1 available for you to stream, and The Circle season 2 is currently airing weekly. Happy chaotic viewing!
