summary
At the start of this leg, teams were instructed to travel to Red Deer City Hall and sign up for one of two buses to the Lake Louise Mountain Resort.
Express Pass Teams had an opportunity to win an Express Pass by chiseling out clues from ice blocks, two of which had Express Passes. Marie & Louis won two, and Osas & Esosa won one.
Roadblock: “Who knows the ropes?” In this leg’s Roadblock, one team member had to toss a lasso at numbered pegs until they wrapped the rope around pegs with a total of three points to receive their next clue.
After the Roadblock, teams had to drive to Golden, British Columbia, and find their next clue at Mount 7. Teams then had to search the forest for a mushroom house with Papa Smurf before receiving their next clue, which sent them to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Osas & Esosa used their Express Pass to bypass this task.
Detour: Sled It or Tread It Assist This leg’s Detour was a choice between Sled It or Tread It. In Sled It, teams had to load a sled with 90 kilograms (200 lb) of supplies and then one team member had to pull the sled up the slope while their partner steered before receiving their next clue. In Tread It, teams had to assemble snowshoes using tree branches and then hike a mountain course before receiving their next clue. The Assist was hidden in one clue, found by EB & Blake, who chose Sled It, and provided them with a pre-packed sled.
After the Detour, teams had to check in at the Pit Stop: the Golden Skybridge.

The Amazing Race Canada Show Descriprion
The Amazing Race Canada is a Canadian adventure reality game show based on the international Amazing Race franchise. Following the premise of other versions of the format, the show follows teams of two as they race across Canada and around the world. Each Race season is split into legs, with teams tasked to deduce clues, navigate themselves in foreign areas, interact with locals, perform physical and mental challenges, and travel by air, boat, car, taxi, and other modes of transport. Teams are progressively eliminated at the end of most legs for being the last to arrive at designated Pit Stops. The first team to arrive at the Finish Line wins a grand prize of CA$250,000 and additional prizes from the show’s sponsors.
Commissioned and broadcast by CTV, The Amazing Race Canada is hosted by former Olympian Jon Montgomery, produced by Insight Productions in association with Bell Media and with the support of Profiles Television.
After the season 7 finale, it was announced that the show was renewed for an eighth season. Originally expected to premiere in mid-2020, the season’s production was postponed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. It is currently scheduled to premiere on July 5, 2022.
