Detour: Gahtronatun zheh or Iviqsuraaq This leg’s Detour was a choice between Gahtronatun zheh (English: School) or Iviqsuraaq (English: Stick & Bone). In Gahtronatun zheh, teams had to memorize five questions and answers in Gwichʼin and then answer two questions from a local elder before receiving their next clue. In Iviqsuraaq, teams had to assemble five iviqsuraaq toys and deliver them to five locations before receiving their next clue.
Roadblock: “Who has an eye for the Arctic?” In this leg’s Roadblock, one team member had to ride on a dog sled, spot seven Arctic animals, and identify them in order before receiving their next clue.
After the Roadblock, teams had to travel to the Inuvik Satellite Station and complete a puzzle of the satellite dish’s artwork before receiving their next clue. Teams then had to travel to Aklak Air and sign up for one of three flights to Tuktoyaktuk.
Assist Once in Tuktoyaktuk, teams had to travel to Kitti Hall and complete three out of the following six northern games – swing kick, toe kick, Alaskan high kick, kneel jump, bench reach, stick twist – to receive their next clue. The Amazing Race Canada Show Descriprion

The Amazing Race Canada is a Canadian adventure reality game show based on the international Amazing Race franchise. Following the premise of other versions of the format, the show follows teams of two as they race across Canada and around the world. Each Race season is split into legs, with teams tasked to deduce clues, navigate themselves in foreign areas, interact with locals, perform physical and mental challenges, and travel by air, boat, car, taxi, and other modes of transport. Teams are progressively eliminated at the end of most legs for being the last to arrive at designated Pit Stops. The first team to arrive at the Finish Line wins a grand prize of CA$250,000 and additional prizes from the show’s sponsors.

Commissioned and broadcast by CTV, The Amazing Race Canada is hosted by former Olympian Jon Montgomery, produced by Insight Productions in association with Bell Media and with the support of Profiles Television.

After the season 7 finale, it was announced that the show was renewed for an eighth season. Originally expected to premiere in mid-2020, the season’s production was postponed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. It is currently scheduled to premiere on July 5, 2022.
